The Lodge meets twice each year, in
June
and
December
,
at the Masonic Buildings in Rugby, less than 250 yards from Rugby School Close
where William Webb Ellis first picked up that ball and ran with it.
The Installation meeting is in
December
and is also a little unusual.
The Lodge is opened at 9.30 am and the ceremony is followed by the
traditional toasts at the Masonic rooms. The members and their guests then move on to the local ground of Rugby Lions for refreshments and lunch
following which they are entertained for 80 minutes by the Lions and their
opponents of the day.
The
June
meeting is followed by the annual Ladies Festival and usually takes a less formal approach to the
traditional Ladies celebration. Previous years have seen a Beach Party (held in the dining room and car park), and a Karaoke night.
Further gatherings during the year, purely for recreational purposes, have
included visits to other rugby venues to watch Domestic and International matches.
